About the Role:
Rapid Run Logistics LLC is looking for a compassionate and reliable NEMT Driver to join our growing team in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role, you'll make a real difference by safely transporting passengers with medical needs to and from their appointments. Responsibilities:
- Safely transport non-emergency medical passengers to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, and healthcare facilities
- Assist passengers with boarding, deboarding, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and passenger documentation
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare facility staff
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain passenger confidentiality
- Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times to ensure on-time service
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience transporting passengers or working in a healthcare/caregiving setting preferred
- Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and secure mobility devices
- Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management skills
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with elderly or disabled passengers
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
